The famous conservative Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was in love with his bubbles. He is believed to have consumed 42,000 bottles in his lifetime, his much preferred effervescence was Pol Roger, who honoured this legend by creating a robust, full bodied prestige cuvée named after him. A subtle blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, this rich and elegant champagne is produced from grapes sourced from grands crus, made only in the best vintages. He was quoted saying “My tastes are simple, I’m easily satisfied with the best” and therefore the Maison Pol Roger took it on themselves to create the most simple yet sophisticated bubbly paying homage to this man who led Britain to victory during the WWII
